Check out yesterday’s post if you missed it.
As I talked about yesterday, once you have your Vision Affirmation Statement, let it guide you to help you create a Vision Board.
Take the words, phrases and word pictures you used and find images to go with them and create a board that serves as a visual reminder of your vision.
Here’s my Vision Affirmation Statement: I am living a peaceful and creative life that allows me to blaze trails and teach others by my own experiences. I am attracting more love, joy and authenticity into my own life while bringing inspiration and opportunities for connection to the people around me.
Then I took each set of words or each concept and wrote down some things that came to mind.
- A peaceful, creative life: tea, a cozy corner, colors.
- Teaching/trail blazing part: paths, trails, explorers, feet, maps, apples, a classroom.
- Love, joy and authenticity: hearts, balloons, freedom (the beach).
- Inspiration and connection: landscapes, light, groups of people, parties.
Do the same with yours and find the images in magazines, online or draw them yourself. Look for words and phrases, too.
I kept my affirmation handy and started going through pictures.
This collage from House Beautiful inspired me. I wanted a layered look, too, so I started arranging and layering my favorite images.
And here is my final version!
The possibilities are endless! Enjoy the process and create something uniquely YOU.
